The Milford Lions Club made a wonderful donation to the Milford Town Library. It is a new Dell workstation with a 22" monitor. The inclusion of JAWS® for Windows is of the greatest significance, especially to those who are blind or have low vision. This ingenious software allows navigation of, and interaction with, the Internet for people whose vision is severely impaired and even people without sight altogether. As stated below, the software includes instructional audio tapes and manuals in Braille and large print. These are available for sign-out, within the library, to those who are interested in using this system or to help another who may not have the basic computer skills needed to use the Internet.

If you, or someone you know, will benefit from the use of such a system please join us!
