Mass Comm. for the Blind - Offers vocational rehab, independent living social services, home care and respite assistance, radio reading programs, resource information, community systems advocacy, and residential and day services. MCB provides, among other services, after-school recreation and socialization programs for blind children, aged 7 to 12, in four geographic areas. Perkins School for the Blind - Programs provide educational training opportunities for students from birth to 22 years of age, plus services for adults in residential, day and community-based programs. U.S. National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped (NLS): A free national library program of Braille and recorded materials for blind and physically disabled, administered by the Library of Congress. VIBUG, Visually Impaired and Blind User Group, Boston - Dedicated to advancing access by visually impaired and blind persons to the world of computer applications. Its mission is to exchange information and advice among visually impaired computer users and expand computer literacy within the visually impaired community--especially the use of computers to overcome limitations of visual impairment.
