Friends of the Milford Town Library

The Friends of the Milford Town Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization that raises funds to promote and support programs that are not covered in the Library’s operating budget. We strive to bring cultural enrichment to the library’s patrons, as well as the community at large.

The Friends actively support the Library in many ways:

• Special events for children and young adults
• Special events for adults
• Facility enhancements
• Collection enhancements

Ways To Support The Friends

Become a member

Membership is open to all individuals, corporations or organizations who are interested in promoting the aims of the Friends. Dues are tax-deductible and memberships run from January through December.

Donate

The Friends welcome donations by individuals and businesses. Please refer to the above for proper remittance. For donations under $250, the donor’s cancelled check or bank statement should serve as record for tax deductions. Donors of $250 or more will receive a letter of acknowledgement as described in IRS Publication 526 – Charitable Contributions.

The Friends also welcome donations of your gently used books, which are sorted by Friends volunteers who organize the material for upcoming book sales and the library book table. Books may be left at the library during regular hours of operation.

Volunteer

Help is always needed at the Friends’ major fundraisers, the book sales held traditionally in late April and October. To be placed on a contact list for book sale volunteers, please send a request to FriendsMilfordTownLibrary@yahoo.com.
