Book Sales
The Friends Book Sales are held each Spring and Fall.
We hope you will join us for the Spring Book Sale on Friday, April 26 from 4 - 7 p.m. (Friends members only date), and Saturday, April 27 from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. (general public welcome)!
The Friends Book Table located by the library's main staircase gets replenished every week with a great assortment of fiction, non-fiction, paperbacks, children's books, music, jigsaw puzzles, and magazines. At 50 cents per item as a suggested donation, that's too good a bargain to pass up. You never know what gems you'll find there. Best of all, the table runs year round!!
The Friends Bookstore located next to the grandfather clock and periodical area has new or near new hardcovers and quality paperbacks for $1.00 each. The store gets replenished several times a week. Come browse and shop the superb deals!
Book Sale Donations
The Friends are happy to accept donations that are in good to excellent condition (items that you would want to purchase)!
Please only donate:
- Hardcover and paperback books (fiction and non-fiction)
- CDs, CD audiobooks, DVD's, vinyl records
- Video games
- Board games, puzzles
- Book-related toys and posters
The Friends CAN NOT accept:
- Magazines
- VHS or cassette tapes
- Textbooks over 5 years old
- Travel books or computer books over 3 years old
- Encyclopedias
- Readers Digest/condensed books
- CD audiobooks missing CDs
- Any items that are torn, water/smoke damaged, dirty, moldy/mildewed, written in, or with broken bindings
You may donate up to 10 boxes per week, which can be left on the Friends' cart, to the right of our main entrance near the elevator.
